Famous Friends is a unique business offering personalised photo gifts. They allow you to choose a celebrity picture and send in your own (or a friends) photo. You are then seamlessly added to the celebrity picture in a selected location. A high quality framed print showing you alongside your chosen celebrity is then sent to you.

It attracts a good deal of traffic and has undergone a few redesigns since its conception. It features:

Validated to web standards: Important and necessary. This one aspect alone gives a huge amount of backward compatibility and future proofing. It also increases cross browser and cross platform support.
Cross browser compatible: The site has been tested successfully on IE5.5+, Firefox 1.0+. It is expected to work on Safari, Konqueror, Opera and Mozilla browsers. Any standards complaint browser should render it acceptably.
Cross platform compatible: Tested on Windows XP Home and Pro. It is expected to work on all windows family PC's above Windows 95. It is also expected to work on Linux and Apple MAC's but remains untested and might be dependent on a particular browser install.
Wide coverage: The sites platform and browser support means that it has wide coverage (97%+) of the typical expected user for the site.
Basic accessibility: Passes Priority One (A) W3C WAI accessibility tests.
Internet Explorer bugs workaround: Internet Explorer contains rendering bugs that can disrupt how web pages are displayed. By staying abreast of the latest technical coding developments, we work around these rendering bugs in ways that will not break the site when Internet Explorer 7.0 is released and some of the bugs are fixed.
Core design template: The core design has been put into templates for fast site wide updates.
Protected dynamic galleries: The galleries show copyright and employ anti-theft protection for the original image. Pictures are dynamically rendered to the correct display properties from varying source sizes.
Email web form templates: An adjustable text template file is used to produce a more readable web form submission. This allows easy expansion and changes to automatic emails sent via the site.
Search engine friendly: The sites technologies and style of coding mean that it is search engine friendly. The robots and spiders that search engines use can view the textual content of the page easily. Each product item or celebrity has its own page for the maximum spider footprint and thus increased listings for search engines.
Self administration: A custom web control panel to control all aspects of the site's products, contents and special offers.
