Bandwidth

Bandwidth is used whenever someone looks at your web site. The busier the site the more bandwidth you need. Small pages with less pictures use less bandwidth than larger pages with lots of pictures.

If a web page was 25kb then the the following bandwidth table applies:

These figures are very general since incoming and outgoing emails also use bandwidth.

What if I exceed my limit?
Don't worry if you exceed your bandwidth limit. Hosting accounts are not typically shut down when limits are exceeded infrequently unless the excess is substantial. An alert email is sent to you and you have the option of increasing your bandwidth limit(s). Frequent or substantial excess may require an increase for ongoing service.
